A unique developer kit purposed for running AI workloads at the edge and designed for medical imaging or industrial grade use cases. Includes an Orin CPU/GPU SoC module for compute, a smartnic for high speed networking and data streaming, a BMC for remote management and a safety MCU to fulfill safety needs. Modularly supports a GPU and sensor connections.
The project was born from the medical and edge ai teams that were previously working independently. The porject was part of the Orin Platform that also fulfilled automotive and robotics use cases
Main Acheivements and Learnings
* Unified work of five different teams in a common platform resulting in millions of development cost and time savings
* Negotiated between stakeholders to define core requirements and nice to have
* Prototyped significnatly to define compact form factor for all the features
